I officially declare this Friday National Stay-in-Bed-Day. It has been proclaimed and I will rule.
Have you read the latest issue of Good magazine? I get the hard copy version and January’s issue is called “the slow issue.” There is a great article starting on page 72 giving tips on how to spend a lazy day in bed and it has inspired me to “test it out.”
I got back last night and could barely keep my eyes open, but kept awake a few hours to spend some quality time with my husband who I hadn’t seen in five days. I was slammed at work today working on two projects plus working on my postmortem report on the Twitter campaigns I ran for work at CES.
But Friday is my off Friday, and instead of doing errands or working on stuff I should be working on, I declare:
- I WILL stay in bed all day, my pajamas’s shall be my attire
- I WILL read your blog posts from the last week and comment
- I WILL write the blog posts that are overflowing in my head
- I WILL give you the feedback from my reader survey
- I WILL take a nap
It may not bring world peace, but it will bring peace to my world!
Anyone want to join me? (Not in my bed (hee-hee) but in yours!)

if you only make it to the nap, we’ll all understand. i love how you keep us in the loop on your life, andi. my whole world could be falling apart and nobody who reads my blog would know it. i should work on that. ha!
I wish I could! Sounds like you had an intense stay in Las Vegas! What kinds of reports do you draft following your twitter work at #ces?
Sounds wonderful. I wish I didn’t have like… oh just 10 things on my agenda for Friday.
This is the best idea! I wish I could, but duty (my real job) calls. I have a stack of books I would love to stay in bed and read.
If only I could. The kids are home Friday. But if you declare another day in the future, I would love to try. Sounds like heaven.
