Humm-in-nah, Humm-in-nah

Wowza! I just was catching up on emails in my in-box when I ran across one from Barbara Jones and Alli Worthington giving highlights about this year’s upcoming Blissdom conference.  And right smack in the middle of their email is a photo of Harry Connick, Jr.  Why?  Because he is going to BE there!

I think I am suffering for heart palpitations!

I adore Mr. Connick, I have loved him and his music forever. I mentioned him when I reviewed Michael Bublé’s latest album. In fact, I had a draft of a blog post about him that I was planning because he recently got together with Carla Bruni (Mrs. Nicholas Sarkozy) to sing a duet of a Beattle’s song called “And I Love Her.”

It was a funny story because Mr. Connick is a non-smoker, but when he went to Paris to record the song, the President was there with his wife and asked Harry if he smoked and offered him a cigarette. In his own words, “I get into the studio and Carla is there and her husband Mr. Sarkozy is too and he goes, ‘Do you smoke?’ I’m like ‘No…’ (and reach for a cigarette). (I said), ‘Thank you, thank you’ and suddenly I’m smoking right along with him! “I totally had an ethical value breakdown. I totally whored (sic) myself out! and I have no strength in those situations. As I’m declining a cigarette, I’m lighting the cigarette!”

Isn’t that funny?!

Anyways, I loved him on Will & Grace and just adore his Southern-boy personality.  And I am thrilled beyond belief that he is going to be playing at Blissdom.  I need to practice up on my photography skills because I do not want a repeat of last year!

Seriously??? Oh.M.Gee. He is so hot. I saw him in person at Mardi Gras ball years ago and he is yummy. So lucky you are going!

Mr Connick, Jr. is definitely a honey. He’s one of those guys who could probably smile at me and I’d just melt on the spot.

I’ve adored him ever since he sang “It Had To Be You” for the “When Harry Met Sally” soundtrack.

Yum.

Kind, sweet, sexy and a family man too, he has the whole man package too – then add that voice – wowza. And of course he gives back to the community, he has a local charity that he supports, will be hearing about it at Blissdom and will report back to you – hopefully with non-blurry pics!

I loved him on Will and Grace, too. That’s one of my favorite shows next to Golden Girls and Reba. Lol. That’s awesome that he’ll be at Blissdom. Hope you get some good shots! :D

Stopping by from SITS,

Oh gee, sorry hate to say it but I’m one of many Aussies who despise Harry due to his total overreaction to a comedy skit on one our most loved programs down here late last year. He really needs to pull his head in and not make mountains out of really really small ant hills.

Dude. If you need an icebreaker or reason to talk to him…one of his bass players (Neal Caine) was my boyfriend in high school (yes, this makes me famous by default). So feel free to name drop (Neal, not necessarily me!)

I love him too – the When Harry Met Sally soundtrack is still one of my all time faves…think I’ll throw it on now!

@Rach – no need to apologize! If everyone liked the same type of people the world would be boring! I don’t actually like every movie that Harry is in, but I liked him in Will & Grace (American TV show). All opinions are welcome anytime!
