I wrote this post a head of time because I am on the red-eye Wednesday night to Charlotte, North Carolina, and by the time you are reading this I will be on the road to Ashville for the Type-A-Mom conference. I bummed a ride from Julie from Writing Roads. We have never met but “speak” often. I have been dying to meet her and we are probably going to spend the entire trip geeking out on Twilight. She is an extremely talented writer and is going to be speaker at the conference.
I will also be meeting Cheryl of The Daily Blonde who is on the list of Top 25 Writers to Follow on Twitter and the Top Ten Female Twitter Users in the World – that’s not intimidating or anything, right? The car ride with Julie and Cheryl is going to be fun and should keep we awake!
And once I arrive (and take a nap) I look forward to meeting up with Blissdom buddies Paula (of Booger and Burps) and Jody (of Have Kid Will Travel – plus 3 other blogs) – we spent nearly the entire conference hanging out. Plus photographer extraordinaire Mishelle Lane (of Secret Agent Mama) who assisted me with my camera woes.
Lastly, I will be lurking around my secret crush, Megan of Velveteen Mind. She is another amazing writer who admire immensely.
And I have “met” all these amazing people, and many, many more only within the past year! Truly wonderful, generous, funny, and entertaining bloggers who have touched my life. As always, I am in awe of this community that each day presents me with wonderful gifts via blog posts, emails, tweets and more.
So I am off to celebrate with my blogging friends. To laugh, to listen, to learn, to eat and to share; I will make new friends and discover new blogs and despite being an introvert, I will come out of my shell a few days, and I will thrive.
P.S. I know I am not a Mom, but since they did not have a Type-A-Non-Mom conference, I am making do…sshhh
