The night we had fish and chips in London, we were very shocked to find a very strange beer selection at the restaurant. They had an Irish beer (I think it was a Guinness) and a French beer. Nothing British at all. Well guess which one I chose?
Bien sûr it was the French one! It was called Kasteel Cru, an Alsatian beer made with champagne and it was really, really yummy. Neither my husband nor I had ever heard of it, but now I am going to be on the hunt for it here.
If you see it in a store, pick it up and give it a try, it is very tasty.
