Today’s assignment is on readership and the Golden Rule. Like I was mentioning yesterday, blogs are a relationship therefore, two-sided. You cannot take it for granted, and that includes your freaders (friends + readers – I grabbed that from Tia at Clever Goes The Blog, because it it really great!).
So Darren asked us to visit some of my reader’s blogs, and to leave comments. This is something that I already do every day. I am a reader by nature, books, magazines, etc and blogs have now become a natural extension of that. For people with newer blogs, Darren suggested for them to visit other blogs and to read them, add comments, ideas or suggestions. I think this is really key and like I mentioned Day 3, task #6 it is something I learned several months after I started and wished I had started much earlier in my blog “career.”
As I was reading through the comments people were leaving on Darren’s post there were several people who mentioned that they were new so they would have to do the newbie portion of the task. Since I already read and comment on a lot of blogs, including my readers, I decided to visit some of these new guys to offer support and comments. It was a good exercise and I have already exchanged emails with a few.
I love making new friends in the blogosphere!

Hi, I’m also doing Darren’s Challenge, and I’m one of these newbies (less than a week old in blogging), but we all have to start of somewhere right?
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed your website layout the most. It’s not cluttered and busy like all the other websites that I have seen.
Keep up the good work
Helen
I agree with Cylon, your design is great! Thanks a lot for coming to my blog earlier and commenting, it made my day! =)
I think this challenge is very interesting, although it’s a bit hard for beginner bloggers.
I wish us a lot of success in our blogging!
Hi Andi! I am one of the “newbies” and was excited to read the comment you left on my blog. I really appreciate it.
After reading your post, I am even more excited about this new blogging adventure I am embarking on! I too love to meet new people, especially those with similar interests to my own.
Especially love the concept of “freaders”
All the best! -RB
