When I started blogging last year, it became quickly apparent that I was attracted to blogs that had great content and great design. There are many opinions around this topic. People argue content is king (and as someone in the internet marketing field, I tend to agree) but design is the decoration that accents the content.

So, believing in this as I do, as I discovered new blogs in my search for great writing, I would note down designs that I liked. Turns out a lot of the blog designs I liked were from the same designer, Delicious Design Studios. So in October I engaged Jessica from DDS to do my blog design. But because of her popularity, Jessica is in super high demand, and so her waits are long.

Then I got to thinking. I have friends that are illustrators! One day I was having a conversation with my friend Sean. You’ve seen his illustrations on my blog since last year (check the “illustration” tag in my labels list) and I thought to myself, “hey, Sean can do a header for me until my “real” new design is done.” And maintenant…voila! Presto, abracadabra…new blog header!

Once again, I am jealous of creative people! My other illustrator friend, Melissa just did a blog header for my pal over at Make Up Diaries, go take a look, it’s really great!
