Pre-vacation panic

No vacation goes unpunished. –Karl Hakkarainen

I am getting ready to go on vacation. This is not something to complain about. But it often seems that prepping for vacation can lead to a lot of extra stress.

In my case, I am blessed to have a terrific job. I can say this having just left a very stressful job. But I seem to be super busy at this point making sure I wrap everything up neatly or put things in place to be on hold while I am out next week.

Also there is the packing, the cat and house/personal things to take care of on top of an activity packed week. We leave on Saturday, I know it is going to be a good time, but we will be totally unplugged and even that kind of stresses me out a bit.

What if I miss a brilliant comment or link on Twitter? What if a great blog post gets lost in my 9 days worth of posts to my reader? There is so much great information out there, what happens if you miss a week?

I also had to prepare 9 blog posts so that I honor my NaBloPoMo commitment, that was a challenge, I am actually not done, have 2 more to do. [So don't forget to visit me all next week even though I won't technically be here, I am posting every day.]

No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one. — Elbert Hubbard

The vacation aftermath of a flooded email boxes, a 100 reader entries and plugging back in is going to be a whole other story!

I always need more vacation when I return from vacation.

Have a great time. We’ll all be really boring so you won’t miss a thing. ;-)
